WHO WE ARE
Caroline is the Founder and Editor in Chief of Be Still Collective. She has worked as a communications analyst, literary agent assistant, freelance writer, writing consultant, technical editor and is an open mental health advocate in her free time on all of her social media accounts. She has always been a passionate writer and editor and wants to use her talents to advocate for those who deal with mental illness. In her free time, she loves to bike, hike, run or listen to alternative rock.
Kristi serves as our Creative Director. She studied Psychology and English at the University of Central Florida. Her goal in life is to create and connect with others, and she's passionate about using her voice to help those who may not know how to use theirs. A former resident at the Atlantic Center for the Arts, she love writing and inspiring others. When she isn’t working, she’s out on an adventure with her dog Damian looking for food. Gia is Be Still Collective's Senior Editor and a Florida girl living the dream in New York City. She's a journalism graduate from the University of Central Florida with a passion for asking niche questions with empathy and a light heart. Her wellness journey began at UCF as a social media manager for the Wellness and Health Promotion Services department. Now she channels those skills as a speaker, coaching NYC middle school and high school students on study skills and life skills.
Audi Barnes is a Contributing Writer for Be Still Collective. She is also a poet and essayist, as well as the founder of the We Have Voices reading series. Her work appears in The Offing and Capable magazine. Audi spends her days raving about Castlevania and begging her cat to take his allergy medicine. Rachelle obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Central Florida and aspires to create positive candidate and new hire experiences. Currently, she is making magic on the Talent Acquisition team at the Walt Disney Company, supporting the Disney Media Entertainment Distribution team. Rachelle has always prioritized self-love and ensuring that everyone around her feels uplifted. As a mental health ally, Rachelle is honored to be a contributing writer.
Kaliyani obtained her first Bachelor’s degree in English and is working towards her second Bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language interpreting from the University of North Florida. She is a contributing writer for Be Still and also enjoys writing poems in her free time. She is a military spouse and has a cute doggie named Finn. She is currently a mental health care worker and she works hard to be an advocate and ally for others. Her hope is for everyone to have access to adequate resources.
